When I was researching what it was like to be a Videogame Tester I found out many surprising things. Like how much computer programing they need to know.

What does a videogame tester do?

Just like the name suggests a videogame tester tests games!

Videogame Testers makes anywhere around $14 an hour with a yearly $40,483

Videogame Tester's Responsibilities

• Test games for bugs
• Test game disk and software durability
• Reviewing in game instructions to make sure they're clear
• Play the game through multiple times to thoroughly evaluate the game
• Reports mistakes to the team any errors

How do I become a Videogame Tester?

A lot ofpeople, including myself, thought videogame testing would just be testing games but it's much more than that. You need a lot of coding experience and teamwork skills. Teamwork is a bit easier to work on but coding, especially advanced coding could take a whilt to master.

If you're not good at coding and computer programing you wont be able to become a videogame tester. You need to be able to identify a glitch and how to fix it but if you can't do that you can't be an effective gamer.

Regardless of whether you already know advanced coding and programing, videogame testers need to poseess the following traits:

• Patient
• Observant
• Smart
• Technologicallt Knowledgable
• Great working on a team

Should You Become a videogame tester?

Based on my research, I would want to be a videogame tester!
